Welcome all Running of the Brides! It was so nice to meet you this morning. I hope you all got the dress of your dreams. I wish so bad when I was a bride that I could have done this event. How fun! Although, I would definitely wait till later in the day to make my appearance. I learned a embarrassing lesson when searching for my dress. Silly me… I wanted to save money so I found the dress I wanted at a shop in my city, then found the same dress online for way cheaper and ordered it! Little did I know the dress would be made in China and wouldn’t arrive until two weeks before my wedding. When the dress arrived I was so excited… until I opened the bag. It was the wrong dress. It was kinda like the dress I wanted, but wasn’t at all the dress I tried on in the shop. The site would not refund me and I had to either wear a dress I wasn’t in love with or go buy the one that I loved at the wedding dress shop. So I prayed: Dear God, Please, oh please, ohhh please let my dress still be there. So I called the next day and they happened to still have it, even after two months had passed. It was even on sale. Yipee! In all I ended up paying the full amount for the dress after I paid for the mistake dress. Here’s the lesson I learned: In life when you need to buy important things buy them in a store, not online! Anyway… it was fun talking with some of you and wish the best of luck to you in winning my giveaway. This is officially my first giveaway that I have featured on my website. If you don’t win… then check back later this week and maybe you can get in on another giveaway. Yay, I’m so excited.
To be qualified to win this giveaway you must follow these simple instructions:
1. Go to my Facebook business page and “like me.”
2. Then comment on the same photo as the brocher (seen above) about why you think you deserve to win this giveaway.
3. Wait to see if you are the winner. I will contact you via Facebook.
Again, it as so nice meeting you and best of luck. Here are a couple of photos from this mornings big event. Thanks Filens Basement for putting on such a crazy, fun, and scary event. In the craziness, I was lucky to meet a couple of like minded people (early birds) in the wedding industry: Molly Lanigan with Wedding Wire and Elizabeth Dunderdale and Adrienne Mendonça with Gracie Lou Events. (I’m so mad I didn’t get your photo ladies, sorry.) I also got to see a part of Oprah’s show being filmed with guest: Carson Kressley. Oh, how the ladies screamed when they saw him. You can see he is wearing somebody’s lipstick on his cheek! Too Funny.
